Do you ever feel like you just don't fit in and maybe are a little different than everyone else? Maybe instead of feeling out of place, when we feel this way, we need to realize that we simply have a different type of beauty. No one person (or flower) is prettier or more amazing than the other - just different.
Addie brought a small flower home from school in a paper cup last May. . . We planted it along with our other flowers for the front of our house and weren't even sure it was going to make it. This is what has happened in the last week or so. It took it's own time to bloom, changed colors 3 times, from red, to yellow to a beautiful orange. Perhaps it was simply trying to decide who or what it wanted to be and only bloomed when it felt ready and comfortable. It was definitely worth the wait. That flower is my favorite out of the many planted on our front porch. Unique and magnificent. . .

So beautiful. Your flowers always are so pretty, Katie. I miss seeing them!
It really has shot up since I've seen it last. Too cute.
So I haven't had a chance to comment on your last few posts. Princess Grayson... love it!!! And the bug bites, aaaaahhhhh Katie! That sounds awful. And your flower post made me cry. What is wrong with me?
Very symbolic and thoughtful.
I really love this one. Do you know what kind of flower it is? I thought it was a geranium at first until you said it changed colors three times...
That special and unique little sprout looks like a Zinnia! We had a similar wondrous event in our dirt pile out front...one lone sunflower right out of the top!! Bloom where you are planted...thank you family for doing that!! Love, mom/gma
